Case Study: Abu Dhabi

Project Location: Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi

Project Date:  November 2011

Project Brief: Most of these stables were a bespoke design for our customer. They were an adaptation of our Nelson range. The difference generally was in the height of the stable frame. As these stables were primarily for ponies and smaller horses the client requested that we make them lower than usual. The doors were set with bars in the lower section against the traditional arrangement with timber or plastic tongue and groove boards. The purpose of this design was to help with ventilation and give better air flow through the stables. Loddon supplied 30 stables of this design and a further 10 at our regular height to facilitate the larger horses. Each of the stables had a window in the back wall that could be opened and pinned back to allow the horses to look out. These were an arch top design to enhance the overall look of the building.

Type of Installation: Private Facility. New build. 40 stables. Tack room and feed room doors. Fire exit doors. Sliding doors to 3 main entrances. Windows to all of the stables. Horse walker. Paddock and ménage fencing.

Project Duration: 3 months to completion

Case Study: Dubai

Project Location: Dubai Arabian horse Stud. Dubai UAE

Project Date: November 2011

Project Brief: The client had a clear view of how he wanted these stables to look. They were designed to meet the elegance of the horses they housed. Through our CAD drawing office we able to produce the look our client was happy with. The line of the stables had a more flowing appearance than our usual design. The stables were powder coated in a Pearl Gold finish, this was a colour already used by the Dubai Stud for other equipment. Together with the beige plastic boards Loddon were able to create a stunning installation for the Dubai Stud. The installation was in three separate barns. Two of the barns had 23 stables in each and the third had 8. The 8 were in one of the stallion barns. These were a different design altogether. These stables were Loddons Supreme range with full height sliding doors and stallion grills.

Type of Installation: Low Wellington with customers own preference 46 in total and Supreme range 8 in total.

Project Duration: 6 months from manufacture shipping and installation.
